Robert Wadlow, an American, held the record for being the tallest person to have ever lived, according to the Guinness Book of Records. Due to the hyperplasia that caused his unnaturally rapid growth, Wadlow was also known as the Alton Giant and the Giant of Illinois. Wadlow’s height at the time of his passing was 8 feet, 11.1 inches.
At one point in Wadlow’s life, his stature started to affect him, and it was suggested that he might need leg braces to walk. Despite all the difficulties he faces, Wadlow has never needed a wheelchair, and he even went to college to get the same high-quality education as his peers. He became well-known in 1936 after traveling with the Ringling Brothers Circus.
